There are some pieces in a gents wardrobe that are just pure staples. A crisp white button down, the perfect pair of denim, that leather jacket emanating pure masculinity, and pair of chelsea boots.
The history of these stylish staple boots dates back to the Queen Victorian Era when the vulcanized rubber (the elastic sides) became a day to day wear by the Queen herself. These boots started off only being made in leather but as history evolved so did the craftsmanship of shoes. Thats when variations in suede, synthetic leather and other materials you see in shop windows today came to be. I snagged these comfy beauties back in the summer at Ted Baker London and they have been my favourite boots ever since. The rich chocolate suede make them versatile and wearable year round while also still making them easy to pair with coloured belts and watches.
In today's look I paired these versatile bad boys with my favourite blue tones because after all, blue and brown are a fashion match made in heaven. The pants I also purchased back in the summer while I was in Turkey and they are from a Turkish home brand called Beymen. The brand combines the perfect blend of business and casual with European flair that instantly drew my eyes to this pair of trousers. The colour is perfect because they are darker then white but paler then your light-wash denim, making them a great choice to pair with darker pieces in any wardrobe.
For the top half of the look I paired the teal tones in this David Hart x GAP merino wool polo with the classic navy trench also from Ted Baker London. The merino wool makes this polo unlike any other in my wardrobe by adding the extra warmth every Canadian needs in the winter time, making it the short sleeve choice for all my winter needs. The trench like many trenches is the perfect style coat to combine utility and style. It accentuates any look and brings even your jeans and white t-shirt to another level. Making it another staple to add to any of your wardrobes gents.
