Happy weekend everyone! With that being said I decided to dedicate this week's Shoe of the Week to my newest pair of sneakers from Geox which I came to quickly realize are the perfect pair of shoes for a weekend full of walking on the town!
Prior to this I'd never owned a pair of Geox before but I've known since I was a child that they are famous for their breathability and comfort when it comes to their shoe design. What that means is that this pair of Geox in addition to most of their collection is designed with special breathability technology to ensure air flow between the feet and the shoe itself so you never feel like your feet are boiling from the inside out. In these pair of Traccia sneakers specifically Geox has infused their state of the are breathability technology with their Net Breathing System. That means that the sole of these bad boys is covered with maxi-holes to ensure the best breathability but also comfort as well.
Now one may wonder that having holes lining the soles of your shoes sounds awesome until you come face to face with a step in some water. Well with Geox that's never a worry because the technology is designed to allow the air to flow out of the shoe but at the same time ensure that water does not enter the shoe the way that the air has been released, ensuring true water resistance when in contact with water.
When I picked these shoes up I knew that these shoes were going to be dream when it came to comfort and sure enough I was not disappointed. In addition to the Net Breathing System in these sneakers the breathable rubber sole is also designed for optimal comfort and it literally feels like you're stepping on a soft cushion with every step!
When I first put these sneakers on I knew I had to be a little more careful when it came to cleaning these sneakers only because they are a suede, leather and synthetic blend in outer sole fabric so using one tough sneaker cleaner would only damage the suede if it cleaned the leather so I opted for my Jason Markk's Shoe Wipes to clean the bottom sole of the shoe but then went with my trusty white vinegar and baby wipe combo when it came to cleaning the upper sole. This allowed me to clean all the different fabrics without worrying if the colour was going to fade or the fabric was going to be damaged because the vinegar is so natural that it gets rid of stains without compromising the delicate nature of the suede of leather on these shoes.
Well folks that's all for this weeks Shoe of the Week but stay tuned because there is going to be a ton of content hitting the blog next week!
