TOM* Fashion Week In Review: Pre Runway

As TOM* Fashion Week festivities linger only as memories it's safe to say their 4th season in action was a home-run and I'm glad this was the season to take my Toronto Men's Fashion Week virginity. Before the glitz and glam of the runways started, the week began with some of the cities hottest parties to get Toronto's fashion core ready for the week ahead.

As the week festivities began it became evident that Toronto Mens Fashion week unlike any other fashion week around the world has a name, and his name is TOM*.

Night 1 at Maison Mercer for the TOM* Opening Night Party with the lovely and talented Pamela Carriere

With TOM* right around the corner I decided to embrace this week of men's fashion with a new haircut courtesy of  GQ Hair Studio. These boys definitely helped me get all fresh and clean for the hustle and bustle that went down later in the week.

Ready for Night 2 at Early Mercy for the TOM* Magazine Official Launch Party. For this look I really wanted to keep it simple with tones of grey and white. So I paired my jacquard floral blazer from Ted Baker London with my chunky knit and classic fit chinos from Club Monaco.

Because it wouldn't be Fashion Week without a few selfies. Rule #1 about accessories - Make sure they compliment the look, not take away from it. So I paired my plain white silk pocket square and gold vintage sunflower pin to play with the colours and print from my blazer.

The latest issue of TOM* Magazine. This issue highlights that menswear is no longer about the traditional black suit but, about expression and embracing colours and prints your typical gentleman would run away from. From music to art and of course the fashion, the latest brainchild of TOM* Magazine is definitely one I recommend for everyone to grab from their local Chapters or Indigo

Its not over yet folks. Stayed tuned today and tomorrow to follow the rest of my TOM* Fashion Week fun starting with Day 1 on the runway.

Cheers,
